Setting up your company in Dubai.
Whether you need to build an entire marketing strategy from scratch or refine your approach.
Business setup with Servefast Advisory. What structure is the best fit?
There are different types of legal structures when it comes to setting up a business in the UAE. The most common two are mainland and free zone – with free zone setups in the country far outnumbering any of the other categories in terms of newly established businesses each month.
And of course both mainland and free zone structures offer limited liability protection, meaning your personal assets are shielded in case of business debts or legal issues – a key safeguard for any entrepreneur.
So why is free zone company setup in particular so attractive?
After a brief consultation we will be able to advise on whether free zone or mainland – or another structure entirely – is best for you. We will then share all relevant information so you can make your decision and we can proceed to the next step of legal registration.

Do I have to be in Dubai?
Registering a company in Dubai can, in most cases, be done remotely. With Servefast Advisory on the ground, the process can be completed within a few days – and rarely takes longer than a working week.
Once your business license has been issued, you will need to visit the UAE to secure your residency visa and open your bank account. For both of these activities your presence in the country is mandatory. The residency visa can take anywhere from five to ten working days, while setting up a bank account can be done in a day or two with the right upfront preparation.

Do I have to be in Dubai?
What this means is that you will have to plan for an initial stay of about two weeks – possibly longer. But it is a great opportunity to spend some time networking in a city that rewards those who put in the effort. Often all that is needed in Dubai to get the ball rolling is to make those first few connections, and Servefast Advisory will help with introductions within our network whenever possible.
With the legalities out of the way, your future in the UAE is yours to shape. While you only need to visit once every 180 days to keep your residency visa active, many of our clients make the permanent move here and break residency ties with their home country, or they maintain dual residency and enjoy the best of both worlds.
